Descrição da vaga: Offer DescriptionThe University of São Paulo’s Institute of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (ICMC) in São Carlos (São Paulo state, Brazil) is accepting applications for 2 post-doctoral positions. The fellowships are funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and are valid for 12 months.The selected candidate will join the Center for Research in Mathematical Sciences Applied to Industry – a Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center (CEPID, in the Portuguese acronym) supported by FAPESP and hosted by ICMC-USP where he/she will be able to contribute to projects involving remote sensing data, water modeling, health, agriculture, food, among others.Candidates must have obtained a doctorate within the last 7 years in the area of Exact Sciences or related areas. A strong publication record and previous experience in data engineering, data aggregation, data science, visualization, multi-criteria decision-making, evolutionary algorithms, and machine learning are highly desirable. Candidates are expected to work in a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment with other post-doctoral fellows, doctoral and undergraduate students, as well as faculty members.
